Where does the time go?

Yikes! I can't believe it has been so long since I posted.
Towards the end of July I left Texas to go to NY for the summer. I rarely had internet access and most of the time no TV. It was kinda nice, actually. I hardly got any scrapping done, as you can imagine when it is so nice outside you want to be out there in the sunshine!

Since I have been home I had a lot of kits waiting for me and I can't wait to start working with them! I have done a little bit with them so far. I decided I am going to try and start doing one LO a day...we will see how that goes! I have been getting kits from Cocoa Daisy and they are just phenomenal! Here is a LO that I made with their kit:

My term at Scrapbook Express is coming to an end...the DT there is so talented and the store is just amazing! So there is a DT call going on there right now that you can check out. Here are few LO's that I did for Sept. there.

I also made a few sketches for SE for Sept.

I have found a few new forums that I am really loving! I saw on PubCalls a One Hour Sketch contest at My Sketch World that I was actually able to do! It was so much fun! I spent the first 20 minutes just planning what to do (while I was feeding the baby!) and then just whipped it out! Here it is:

I am also doing the Got Talent contest at Urban Anthology. I have to say that this is one of my favorite LO's that I have done! It just poured out of me as I was creating it.

Back in July I did the ScrapWhispers game which is SOOO much fun. Basically, you are in a team, and you recieve a LO from one of the team members that you have to lift. Your LO then gets sent to someone else. At the end there is a big reveal and you get to see the progression...very cool.

Believe it or not...

I have actually been able to get some scrapping done! I have been busy working on LO's of Charlotte b/c I have TONS of photos! Many of the LO's have been for DT work at Scrapbook Express.
Over at SE during the month of July we have the LOAD challenges going on. LOAD stands for LayOut A Day. Each day there is a new challenge posted by one of the DT members. You have until July 31 to complete as many challenges as possible and your name is entered into a drawing based on how many projects you do. In addition, if you complete 10 challenges, you get a 10% discount in the store; 20 challenges and 20% discount; 30 challenges and 30% discount!

I had to do challenges for July 1-5. Here are my 5 challenges:

1: Use Chipboard, Try different techniques like painting it, embossing it, covering it with paper, or just leaving it raw!

2: Do a LO with this sketch. Then use the scraps to make a card also based on the same sketch.

3: Color Combo: Tangerine, Lemon, and Lime! I also created a card, too *but that wasn't part of the challenge).

4: Use your scraps! No scraps bigger than 4 x 4. For this LO I literally reached into my scrap pile without looking and removed 25 pieces of paper.

5: I created this sketch for members to work with! I love creating sketches!

Well, that was it for my challenges! Here are a few other things I worked on, too!

Baby Quilt

A friend of mine, Deb, whose husband works with Keith, put together this BEAUTIFUL quilt for Charlotte. She asked me to send a square to 26 people and assign each a letter of the alphabet. Each person (or family) was to put their letter on their square and decorate it any way they wanted. The end product is absoultely priceless!! Here are some photos of the quilt:

Long time no post!

Two days after my last post, little Miss Charlotte Yeager was born at 3:53 am!!!!

Needless to say I haven't gotten much scrappy time in! I have been getting my monthy kit subscriptions from Cocoa Daisy and Create My Keepsake, but I haven't been able to use them! Also, I have gotten a LOT of great products from Scrapbook Express for my DT stipend. I made these two LO's for my DT position at SE:

And I have gotten to do some cards for Father's Day:

I am working on a few more things that I hope to post soon! I have sooooo many photos to use.

Some other AWESOME news I got was that I won a $50 prize package at Cocoa Daisy Blog!!! Can't wait to get it cause I LOVE their stuff!
