Cocoa Daisy Crop and some Ch{all}enge Masters challenges...

Well a few weekends ago I participated in the Cocoa Daisy crop which ran from Fri. til Sun.  I did a LOT of projects and was so inspired by all the wonderful creations of all the ladies there.  I won TWO RAKS on Friday night, and I won one of the challenge prizes, too!

Here are the LO's that I did:

This was based on an ad for Hugo Boss cologne.

This was based an the album cover of NKOTB!

This was also based on an ad that had a tree on it made out of words and text:

This one we had to be inspired by the Twilight books covers.

We had to find something in our house that inspired us, so I choose a window in my bathroom and my bathroom is also a deep purple.

And this one was based on a sketch by Anna!

Plus I also did a few of the projects:
There was an AWSOME class on a fabric mini album, which I can't believe that I got done so quickly.

And this simple, pretty photo wallet, which was such a cute project:

I have also been busy working on some challenges for Ch{all}enge Masters, too!

And more to come, soon!

Ch{all}enge Masters Jingle Bell Hop!

I can't believe it is that time of year again...I am feverishly working on christmas cards and projects that I are holiday themed, yet I am trying to stay all caught up with my layouts, too.
This year I have decided to undertake Ali Edwards December Daily album.  Although I have created mine with a twist.  For me, the season starts on Thanksgiving day and ends New Year's Eve.  So my album will encompass that time frame. I am so happy to say that I completed it tonight!!  BUT...I am going to wait to reveal my album until a very special time: The Ch{all}enge Masters BLOG HOP!  There are going to be great prizes and LOTs of creations from all the DT members (at this time, there are 23 people on the hop, and yes, they are ALL DT members!).  If you haven't checked out Ch{all}enge Masters it is an awesome challenge site that has every type of challenge you can imagine.  Just create a project for a challenge and enter it into the gallery to be eligible for the monthly drawing.

PLEASE visit my blog and the Ch{all}enge Masters Blog for the BLOG HOP on Dec. 5 & 6th! (Oh yeah, and I made the sign and the blinkie!  :)  )

Challenge 5 at Urban Antology

For Challenge 5 at UA, we had to create a kit with our own supplies and then create a least 2 projects with our kit.  Well of course I went a little overboard!  But I really learned something from this challenge.  I have SO many supplies that I don't even remember that I have!  And even old lines of paper can look "new" again if you put them together with other papers of the same theme or feel.  I really think I am going to start going through my stuff and making mini kits for myself.  The way I approached this process was to think of a particular scene in my head and then think of the colors and patterns and textures of that scene.  Then I went through my stuff and picked out items that had that feel to it.  I didn't try to matchy-match everything...I just looked at each paper individually.  By the end of the process, though, everything went together so great!

I was thinking about apple picking and autumn harvests and all the food at Thanksgiving.  Then I thought of a cornucopia.  So I choose papers that reminded me of a harvest or autumn foods and foliage.  And this is what I came up with:

We had to do at least 2 projects with our kit, but I got a LOT more done!  Here are 2 LO's, one a two pager.  This two pager of Charlotte is one of my most favorite LO's ever!

And I even did a mini album!  This album is called "Blessings" and has some of the things that I am blessed with in it.  I have to add the journaling in yet....
