Scrapdango Kit Reveal! Mamma-Razzi!

YAY YAY YAY!  I am so excited about this reveal I can't hold it in anymore!  I am the Guest Designer for Scrapdango this month!

Here's the thing: I had a choice between the kits, and I already have some of the Crate Paper Brook stuff for another reveal (which I still love by the way), so i decided to go with the BoBunny Mamma-Razzi line.  At first, I thought the papers were really masculine, and I wasn't sure how well I would be able to tackle them. Because i didn't have any particular pictures in mind, I did a little photo shoot of myself last week.

When I got the papers, I loved loved loved the rust colored one, and when I started to look at the patterns, etc., it started to come to me and the designs just popped into my head!  I love the way all three of these came out, so I am glad I challenged myself to use some papers that I normally wouldn't choose!

This first one I really wanted to use the theme of the paper, and I started thinking about how crazy I get with taking pictures.  I used some Basic Grey stamps to stamp the black scroll flourishes on the aqua cardstock and then cut them out by hand...this took forever!!!!!!!

The photo size I chose fit perfect behind teh transparency, and I stamped the title with black Stazon on another transparency and then glued it on.  If you can read my journaling it is kinda funny...:)

This next one just had a strange origin.  As I was looking through some of the photos that I took of myself during my photoshoot, I noticed how much my skin is aging.  The sunspots on my face and arms have intensified greatly since we lived in Houston, and during pregnancy my pigmentation really changed.  In these photos I had no make up on or anything...it felt really raw to me, so I wanted to write about it a bit.  If I told you that I used orange and green on a LO and it wasn't a fall one, you probably would say "gross", but I love the way these worked together.
Again I used the Basic Grey stamps and some other, older flourish stamps (can't remember the manu).  I stamped with Versamark and used AC white ambossing powder, which I LOVE.  I then misted over it a bit and wiped the mist off the white ink (resist embossing). I inked and distressed the heck out of the edges and
stitched around the photo and some other areas.  The journaling area is also resist embossing and I used some crackle accents on the letters.

Finally, this one is my FAV!  Probably b/c I love this photo of Charlotte taken on Easter Sunday at my brother's house in Baton Rouge.  I used my favorite piece of paper (the rust colored one) which matched the background of the photo really well!  To make this a lot more feminine, I made a ton of rolled paper roses and added some stickles to the edges to give them some sparkle.  I cut the leaves out of the greenish paper and sewed a line down the middle and folded them for dimension.  The brown die cut area is traced from another piece of PP and I sanded the edges and stitched around the inside edge with a zig zag stitch.  The title is stamped with white ink. The ticket I turned to the back, crumpled and inked them, then did an outline with a thin black pen.

Well I am so please with this kit, and there is more to come!!  There is a crop going on RIGHT NOW at Scrapdango, plus I will be posting my challenge next Thursday, so PLEASE stop by!

These are so gorgeous! I especially love the last one. I love how you made colors that aren't normally feminine into a very feminine page.
