March 1 reveals!

WOW!  Where did February go?  It seems like I was so swamped with LO's that I wanted to do this past week that it kinda blocked me from doing much at all.  I hate when that happens.

Anyways, here are a few things I have been waiting to reveal for March 1!

First, I am the Guest Designer for Challenge #11 at Scrap That Poetry!!!  The poem for March 1st is "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" by Dr. Seuss.  Some of you may know that tomorrow (March 2) is Dr. Seuss' birthday!  This poem was SOOOO appropriate right now, seeing as how Charlotte is going EVERYWHERE!  The other day she followed the cat around, and I let her go for a bit, and sure enough, she tried to climb through the cat door!  Man she is getting FAST!

I used some old Cosmo Cricket papers for this because they seemed kind of "Seussical".

OK, next is my March 1 challenge for Candy Shoppe Designs.  This challenge is all about going green.  You have to use some household.recycleable/non-scrapping items on your project.  I was so excited about this one.

I buy these large containers of salad spring mix at Sams Club, and the plastic is just perfect for scrapping!  I cut some circles out of the plastic, and I tried embossing them with some Cuttlebug folders and my Big Shot.  it worked AWESOME!  I then inked them with Black Stazon.  I will definetly try this technique again.

I also used an onion bag and some dryer sheets to make the pretty flowers.  I misted the dryer sheets with Glimmer mist and added the onion bag pieces in between the layers.  And they smell good, too (like dryer sheets, not onions!).

Finally, I used some simple twist ties to make some heart shaped leaves for the flowers.

All the other things in this LO are from the kit I won from Magpie Kit Club from Sketchy Thursdays a few weeks ago!  Loved this kit!

Finally, I am SO excited to share the March kit at Scrapbook Kit Club.  I love love love Cosmo Cricket, and this kit contains some Earth Love papers, and some October Afternoon Farm Fresh.  Here is the kit:

OK, this first LO Charlotte is going to KILL me for doing.  But whenever she poops, which is always right after lunch, it is quite the routine.  The red faces, the watery eyes, and the grunting....it is so funny...and smelly.  But I just had to do a LO about it.  All I could think about with these round, brown felt pieces in the kit was....well...you know.....  so I added some stitching to them to make them not so bad!

This next LO I did a lot of layering and pop-dotting with a lot of the elements from the papers that I cut out.  I love these Jillibean Soup letters!

These sheep on the OA papers just had to be made into a card...of course I used "ewe".

Finally, if you have this Rooster paper from OA, have you taken the time to read the story???  It is so cute, and I thought Charlotte might like it when she gets a bit bigger, so I just cut the paper into columns and made a book out of it!  I colored in the images with some chalks, and this was my first time doing that and I am very happy with the way they came out.

Now...some other stuff. This month, as part of my scrapping resoultion, I am going to focus on using what I have.  Instead of making a kit for myself this month, I am going to ONLY USE SCRAPS FOR THE WHOLE MONTH.  The only "new" thing I can use is cardstock.  In addition, I have this pile of odds and ends, and a stash of small ribbon pieces that I NEED to do something with.  So, I am going to take some photos of all my little things and post them soon.  I am really looking forward to do this and being creative with these things that I think are so valuable that I can't throw away, yet they never make it to a page!
