Scrapbook Circle August Kit and GIVEAWAY!

It is August 1 which means it is time for my FIRST reveal as a Scrapbook Circle Design Team Member! I have been such a fan of Scrapbook Circle for a LONG time, and have been so inspired by all the design team members there over the years. I hope that you find something here that inspires you!

But with a kit like THIS, who WOULDN’T be inspired???

These colors are just fantastic in this kit; Bright and cheerful and just the essence of summer.

Every morning, and after every nap, I sing “Oh Let the Sunshine In” to Charlotte as I open her blinds and shades. How perfect is it that there was a journaling card that had this phrase on it in the kit!!!

I happened to be at my mom’s house while I was doing this LO, so I was able to use her sewing machine for this page. It is very subtle, but I sewed some large sunrays on the background with some yellow thread.

I just love love love the bright yellow letters in this kit, too.

We decided to visit the Jefferson County Fair one day. There were some flags on some of the tents in my photos that inspired the little flags that I made on my LO. I used the cork tag from the kit to push my flag pin into.

One of the first days we were in NY, we had some friends visit us at my parents cottage with their two little boys.  Charlotte just loves Carson, and they played together in the water for a long time!

Charlotte loves the outdoors and is facinated lately with touching trees.  She didn't climb this one (yet!)...grandpa is holding her up in the background.

See all these little flower petals??  They are actually the surfboards from one of the sheets of paper in the kit!  YES, this took me forever!!

Be sure to pick up your August Scrapbook Circle Kit HERE.

I want to thank Lisa at Scrapbook Circle for providing this August Kit as a giveaway on my blog!!!! I have been just so honored to be a part of the Scrapbook Circle Team, and I was “starstruck” by the list of names of the other Design Team members during the announcement. So to win the kit, here is what I want you to do:

1. Visit the blogs of the ladies listed below.
Tessa Buys
Lisa Spiegel
Jill Cassity
Diana Waite
Lisa Andrews
Beth Perry
Diana Fisher
Julie Tucker-Wolek

2. Pick a LO or project from one of these ladies, and make a comment with a link to that project and let me know what you love about it!

Please only one post per person. I will randomly choose a comment on August 11 to win an August Kit!!! Happy browsing!!

hi there! i love ur layouts using the kit -- especially that first one! love the sewing as well -- all those little details -- wow!!! :)
i've looked through the other blogs...and i'm so loving this kit! :) all the projects are fabulous -- although tessa's stand out to me. her style is the most like my own...and those are the ones that usually stand out for me. i especially love the layout she did under the "3000 reason to smile" post -- although the "off she goes" layout she created with the august kit is fabulous as well. i love the way she made the borders around the photo -- it looks marvelous! :)

My Mother always say "Let the Sunshine In" (she will be 85 August 31!). Enjoyed your work.

I enjoyed the layouts on:

The misting and masking was especially nice.

I loved looking at all the blogs. I chose the LO titled "Fly" on LIsa's blog. Just love how happy her daughter looks and how the placement of the picture makes it like she threw all the buttons, flows and mist into the air!

I like the lemon and lime colors she used because I could practically smell the clean fresh scent of PineSol! LOL!

Audrey,
I absolutely love your pages! I am so excited to meet you at your class in a few weeks at Lonestar! I looked through each blog you suggested I was inspired by each of them, but you are still my favorite. :0)

The paint technique on Beth's Dirty Laundry blog stood out to me. I could definitely use that with several of my beach vacations.

oh my gosh, how could i POSSIBLY choose between two of my very favourite bloggers?! what a great team - and congrats on your spot! judging by what i've seen on your blog, you're gonna ROCK this spot, Audrey!)

so, let's see....
there's THIS ONE from the ridiculously talented Julie, which has the most gorgeous stitching and some of my fave papers (love that CC De-Lovely line!), and i totally dig how she layered all the circles! perfect for scraps!

and then there's THIS BEAUTY from the amazing Diana, which uses some of the most gorgeous paper, and features a photo of three BEAUTIFUL ladies! oh, and that trim! mmmmm!

so i couldn't possibly choose a favourite from either girl, as there are just too many beautiful creations! but what i've seen you all doing with this kit? WOW! just wonderful!
