I have't had a "fall" in 5 years since we were in Texas. Last year we went to the Smoky Mountains, which was the closet we've been to a fall in a while.
One of the places we visited was Cades Cove. There was a beautiful park with lots of oak and maple leaves, and they made natural piles around the grounds. Charlotte enjoyed crunching them under her feet, and throwing them in the air.
I used sketch #225 from Creative Scrappers for this page.
I found some free leave cutting files on svgcuts.com. (It was a tropical leaf cut, but it worked just fine for fall!) My color combo was based on the Sept. color challenge on the Crate Paper blog. I layered some reddish prints with some woodgrain and kraft. I have been hoarding these wood frames for a while, and I think they are perfect for this sketch!
After I cut the leaves, I couldn't bring myself to throw away the negatives from the leaf cuts, so I used those on my page, too!
I think this is day 5 in a row with a blog post (and I have a few more scheduled over the next couple of days)! I've been busy this month, but NEXT MONTH I can't wait to share all the things I have going on, including a guest design spot, and a TON of Halloween inspiration for My Scraps & More and Glitz Designs, too!
As always, THANK YOU for stopping by!
