Spring into Summer! My Scraps & More blog hop and crop!

Why YES, this is my third blog hop in 5 days, each with a prize!  Check out my previous posts for more info!  And guess what, I have TWO MORE by the end of the week!  :)

Welcome to the My Scraps and More Spring into Summer blog hop and crop.  We are springing into things with a blog hop starting today and the official crop will kick off on Friday April 26 on the message board.  You will be springing over to each of the design team members blog and seeing a creation they have made using one of the recently released Winter CHA lines.

As you Spring from one blog to the next make sure you take note of the paper line each design team member used.  At the end of the hop you will have a list of 6 design team members and paper lines.  Comment on each design team members blog and email your list to  info@myscrapsandmore.com.

A random winner will be drawn from all list received.  Everyone is welcome to play, participants outside the US will be responsible for shipping cost. You have until Sunday, April 28 midnight EST to complete the hop.  The fabulous prize you are playing for is the Fancy Pants Hopscotch collection.

Here is a list of the blogs you will be visiting:

Then be sure to stop by the My Scraps & More blog, too!

The line I decided to work with is Fancy Pants "Park Bench" collection. Fancy Pants knocked it out of the park with their last release!  I love ALL of their collections!  You can see them in the My Scraps & More store HERE.

I chose this collection because I had some photos of my little guy all dressed up on Easter Sunday with this little blue checked bow tie, and it reminded me of these papers!  So here is my page:

I went with a large diagonal pattern because I wanted a geometric pattern to contrast with some of the more floral elements. You can see that where the strips meet I folded the papers back to reveal the back sides.  I did this because I was envisioning the collar of a dress shirt.  I definitely want to play around with this some more!

After I laid my strips, I did some machine stitching in teal, yellow, and black thread.  Then I splattered the page with some teal blue mist. A few fussy cut doilies and flowers, some chipboard buttons, and a few stickers and I'm done!

Hope you are enjoying the hop and be sure to join us Friday for the crop!

Now Spring on over to Wendi's blog to finish the hop!
Stay scrappy my friends!
