One of my favorite scrapbookers/artist is Ronda Palazzari. I love her loose and artsy style. I love how she meanders ribbons and paints across her pages. So this layout was a bit of a try at her style.
My word for 2011 is STRIVE. I am still trying to figure out what it means to me. Sometimes you don't realize it until it has passed. Anyways, I wanted to take a photo and do a page with an iage of what strive meant to me. For me it means to reach for and to TRY.
When I got the White Elegance papers from SEI, I knew they would be awesome for misting. This piece of paper was actually just my "test" page, but I ended up loving it so much. I really wanted to contrast the purple and blue in the page so I added some yellow flowers.
I tried doing some free motion stitching on my page, and I probably should have practiced a little more, but it is what it is, and I like it!
I'm glad I posted this today because I need to reflect a bit on my word...I have lost it a little....

Love how the misted paper turned out! Great embellies too. I think you are doing a great job at excelling with your chosen word. The BAM! just hasn't hit you yet!
gorgeous layout audrey.
Love this Audrey, and those hand made flowers are darling. I dont know how you get yours so tight. Mine have a great big hole in the middle...lol!
Tfs!
The photo for this page is BEAUTIFUL!!! Great subject and wonderful design- love the ripped edges framing the page.
I just read your Featured Artist article over at SNR- WOW- it's fantastic! I rarely scrap with an ending in mind and it blows my mind that you sketch out the whole layout before you start- that must make actually building the page tons easier. It must be great for improvising too. I scrap alone and have never attended an event to it really helps to see what other designer's methodology is like. I am going to try it on my next layout.
sooooo beautiful! donna tullis
