So jump to this year. I decided to go a much much simpler route. 8.5 x 11", so I could buy cardstock already to size and a 3 ring binder to put it in.

My foundation pages were also very simple. I used 8.5" x 11" cardstock cut in unequal halved both vertically and horizontally. Then I cut patterned paper to make up the difference.
I LOVE patterned paper, so I wanted to make sure I had a lot of it in my album. I used Basic Grey Jovial, Figgy Pudding, and Lily Bee Christmas Town. The cardstock is all different colors.
For each day I plan to do one or two 4x6 photos on the foundation pages, and then I have a whole bunch of filler pages that hold 4x6 photos if there are days where I have a lot of photos. I have also put a few photos on the back of the foundation pages, too.
Each page is also going to have a journaling spot with hand written journaling. I pulled out a whole stack of journaling cards that I am keeping by my desk to write on.
Then for embellishment, I am pulling out a few things from my pile here and there. I have a box of stuff right next to my desk so I can just get it when I need it!
I made the number labels last year on my cricut which took forever, but i made four sets! I love the colors.
Here is a bit of info about my first few days. I will share my journaling here and there once I get into a better routine of jouranling and posting.
Day 1: We decorated the tree and finished decorating the house.
Day 2: We decorated outside in the warm sunshine.
Day 3: We went to the park in the morning to play.
I plan to post once or twice a week with my updated pages! Thanks for looking!

I love your album. Your cover embellies are super!!!
I love your album! Thanks for sharing your process and the completed pages. I don't know why I find it so intimidating. My sons are grown and so I don't have so much to document, but I want to fill mine with maybe special ornaments, family recipes, traditions...
This is great. I LOVE the cover of your binder!
Love the cardstock and Patterned paper mixture! Will be watching with interest to see what you do this year!
AWESOME binder- I love the idea. Who makes the binder? I'm looking for a few for a swap. I'm excited that it also fits document protectors without them sticking out.
