I have always loved loved loved Creative Scrappers sketches, so I am thrilled that I was asked to join the team for the next couple of months!
I got to work on a lot of the sketches during my scrappy retreat that I went to a few weeks ago, and this was the first one I did.
When I look back through my layouts, I notice that I always use the "best" photos of a particular moment. Who doesn't? But sometimes, those photos don't tell the WHOLE story...but these do. When trying to get ONE good photo of the kids together, it's not rare to have to take 20 shots. So I decided to use one of the other 20 along with the one cute one! :)
For the circle element on the sketch, I painted a swirl with some light blue paint and then used the end of the wand of a teal blue mist to draw some lines and do some splatters. I used a mix of papers and elements from Crate Papers' Acorn Ave and On Trend.
I layered lots of flowers and other stickers, and cut the letters C and K from one of the patterned papers (then I backed them with a bit of the dark green patterned paper to outline the circles a bit).
And there you have it!!!! I hope to see you linking up to this sketch on the CS blog!
