That's My Girl! Scrapping Our Stash Blog Hop with process video

Ever month, a group of my scrappy friends get together and we do a little blog hop with projects we've made from our stash!  Yes, I actually used the products I have in my stash!

Check out the Blog Hop list at the end of this post and be sure to hop along!

Today I used some older Basic Grey (Soleil) and Studio Calico (Printshop).

And some close ups of all the lovely layers!

If you want to watch me create this page, check out my video here:

And here is the blog hop order for this month!  Go see what lovely things other people have dug out from their stash!

A "Wild Wood" baby quilt! Dear Stella and Therm O Web!

Therm O Web has teamed up with Dear Stella and we have been able to use their amazing fabric collections for some awesome projects this month!   I chose to work with the "Wildwood" collection, specifically because of the adorable mushroom and owl prints!!!  But the colorway was just my style, too!

Here is the baby quilt I made with appliqued "orange peels" in an non-traditional arrangement.

 Project Supplies:

HeatnBond® Lite Fusible Adhesive
SpraynBond® Basting Spray
Liquid Fabric Fuse™

Project Instructions: I began by ironing Heat N Bond® lite to the back of each fat quarter.  The size of the roll of Heat N Bond® is the perfect size of a fat quarter!

Then I used  template to cut out a whole bunch of orange peel shapes. One of the prints has some flowers with a touch of a dark raspberry color, and I wanted to pull that out a bit more, so I found a solid raspberry in my stash that matched perfectly.

I arranged my shapes on my background and then peeled the Heat N Bond® paper from the back and ironed each shape in place.

I appliqued around each one with a zig zag stitch. Then it was time to baste and I always us the Spray N Bond® Basting Spray to baste ALL of my quilts...any size. Once quilted, I attached the binding and use some Liquid Fabric Fuse™ to help me keep it in place so I could get a perfect machine stitch on the back.

I found this perfect wood grain print in my fabric stash to use as a backing!

Thanks to Dear Stella for letting us work with these fabulous fabrics!

Live It Up "A"! About me for Just Nick with a process video.

I'm so excited to be back for another term at Just Nick!!  I LOVE using Nicoles' cut files and you are going to fall in love with the upcoming designs!

The next few weeks, the DT are introducing themselves with an "About Me" page.  And here is my page:

I went through the store and chose the Criss Cross background for my page for the simple reason that I just LIKED it!

Here are a few close ups!

Can't wait to share my projects with your over the next 6 months and so happy to be back on the team!
