Kits for Sale and WINNER of the Frosted Designs giveaway!

Before I share the winner of the giveaway, I wanted to share some scrapbook page/project kits that I have for sale!  I created these kits for a scrapbooking retreat that I attended a few weeks ago where I taught a class.  The class was SOO awesome and I had 17 participants!!!

Both kits include written instructions and photographs for the projects shown as well as a few other project ideas.  You will also have PLENTY of paper left over to create additional projects!

The first kit contains papers from Crate Paper and embellishments from Crate Paper and Studio Calico:

There are 12 sheets of patterned paper, 3 vellum envelopes, a package of buttons, 1 yard each of jute and grey twine, a sheet of kraft heart stickers, a pack of thickers, and the instructions.

This kit is $20 plus $5 for shipping = $25 total.  I have 5 of these kits left!

Next up is a super large Christmas kit!

This kit contains 18 patterned papers (all different patterns for a total of 36 prints!), a package of thickers, a pack or glitter accents, one pack of die-cut elements, 9 vellum mini-envelopes, 2 packs of holiday sentiment rub-ons, one yard of red twine, and three 3x3 mini canvases for an altered project (plus instructions for all)!

Here's a little more of my own summer inspiration to share with you!  I just love the new "Pier" collection from Crate Paper.  I mixed and matched it here with some papers from other Crate Paper collections.

This past few days has been super hot and it's really starting to feel like summer!  We've started whipping out all the fun summer toys, like the kiddie pool!  Sometimes I think kiddos have just as much fun in these little pools as they do in large pools!

Here is a sketch that I created for this page, too!

I did an ombre effect with some blue papers from different collections on the bottom of the page.

The chipboard elements from The Pier collection are just awesome for summer pages!

Speaking of Paper Issues, here is another page I made with the "Lucky You" kit!  The colors of my photos were kinda yuck, so I changed them to black and white.  The smoothies we made were berry and banana, so I used some pinks, blues, and yellow.  I was thinking of round berries, so I used a circle scheme for my page!  

I used the circle idea as the basis for my challenge at the My Scraps & More Spring into Summer Crop.  Check it out HERE!

This wood button from MME was a bit too dark, so I just painted over it with a whitewash to tone the color down a bit.

For each circle, I outlined it with a white pen just to make it stand out a bit more.  A few of the circles I popped off the page.  And I LOVE these word stickers from Jillibean!

The alphas weren't part of the kit, but were the perfect color yellow!  Lastly I added this chipboard piece with some twine tied in a bow.

Glitz "Love You Madly" Blog Hop *GIVEAWAY*

I am so sad to say that today is my last post for Glitz Designs.  Next week Glitz will be announcing a new team!  It has been so amazing these past 2 years working for this great company with this EXTREMELY talented group.  I will miss it, and I am excited for Glitz and where they are heading!

So welcome to my last Glitz Inspiration Blog Hop!  Today we are featuring the Love You Madly collection.

My daughter happens to Madly Love beads.  And I am so lucky that my brother lived in New Orleans for a few years and then decided to give all his beads to her (can you sense the sarcasm?)  She has always loved playing with beads since she was very little.  Its so fun when you step on them in your bare feet....

I wanted to incorporate some gold elements on the page to pick up on some of the beads in the photo, so I create some gold accents with some gold embossing powder.  For the gold garland, I used a pencil eraser to stamp in versamark, added the gold powder, and then heat embossed.  Then I stitched through them and added some paper garlands and a giant rhinestone.  There are also a few hearts stamped here and there, too, from the Love You Madly stamp set.

I layered some paper layers, die cuts, transparencies, and a gold heat embossed piece of "washi tape" from the Yours Truly stamp set.

And this Hello Beautiful stamp from Cashmere Dame.

My Little Snow Man! and *WINNERS*

We had so much fun playing in the snow....back in December.  Now I am sick of it!  :)
This was the first time Kyler got to play in the snow.  It was up over his knees and he could hardly move.  He fell down a few times and his gloves came off once or twice, but overall, I'd say he liked it!  I mean, just look at this face:

I used a sketch created by Diana Fisher exclusively for the Sketch-A-Thon this month at My Scraps & More.  You can visit the forums HERE to see the sketch!

On the background, I first added a layer of gesso, and then drew some circles with my Versamark Pen.  I added some gold embossing powder and heat embossed.  The photo doesn't give the glitter justice!!  It has such a great shimmer in person.

I also used a stamp set from the MME Collectable line and stamped these "flowery" shapes which I used as snowflakes.  I heat embossed them with white powder and fussy cut them out (can you tell I have been on a heat embossing kick lately?!)  Then I added an epoxy sticker to the center of each and scattered them on the page.

Other than that, I just layered some papers, die cuts, chipboard, and washi tape and stitched a little here and there!

Can you believe it is March 1st?  I've got the perfect thing to get you in a springtime mood...the latest edition of the PaperHaus Magazine!  I believe I have 5 or so projects in there!

This is another spring inspired project I want to share today.  The colors of the Crate Paper Maggie Holmes collection are the perfect spring palette.  And since spring reminds me of "new" things, I wanted to do a page celebrating some "new" REAL friendships I've made!  I got to spend a scrappy weekend with some of my good online friends, who are now my friends IRL: Heather Leopard, Diana Fisher, and Sara Zenger (whom are all on the blog hop list below!).

I cut out the doilies from the patterned paper and then stitched around them on the inside with some gold thread.

Behind my photo cluster, I did some more stitching with cream colored thread to add some more texture.

A lot of edge distressing as usual, and lots of layers.
